Schools CD-rom
The aim of this resource is to make information about the exhibition Ossian: Fragments of Ancient Poetry by Calum Colvin accessible to all schools. It has been designed for use by pupils and teachers. The resource is intended for the classroom and may be used to complement a visit to the exhibition or as an independent study aid. It illustrates all the works included in the show, with opportunities to explore some in detail. It also includes a video interview with Calum Colvin, a range of ideas for art activities and a supporting web-site for further information about Calum Colvin and his work. The background information provided about the works and the artist will help pupils put their own work in context. This information will support critical essays at Standard Grade and it is particularly relevant to pupils of Higher Still in their critical evaluation of contemporary work.
